The first chapter in a photo series that narrates a fictional tale of a Tawaif coming back from death and revisiting her city only to discover that everyone now sees her as a demon, as the face of evil and immorality. The project seeks to start a conversation on the vulnerability of art-based communities that is brought on by the influence of a foreign gaze, cultural politics and stereotypes.
